Water Resources Developer

Stan Clark has been involved in the regulation and development of water supplies in Eastern Idaho since his days as a potato farmer, as early as the 1950’s. Highlights include serving since 1960 as a Partner in Clark Bros. Farms, serving on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Marysville Ditch Co., serving for 10 years on the Committee of Nine in the Upper Snake Water District, serving for eight years as a field representative for Congressman Kempthorne and then Governor Kempthorne, serving as a special assistant to the Director of the Idaho Department of Water Resources, and serving as the founding and continuing President of the Eastern Idaho Water Rights Coalition, a broad-based coalition of cities, developers, irrigation districts, under ground pumpers, individuals and any other interested parties. Stan was the primary proponent and developer of the successful effort to establish the Egin Lakes Recharge Project.

Through these many experiences Stan has learned a lot about dealing with people and finding solutions through collaborative efforts, and would like to put this experience to work to solve some of the water challenges that remain in the State of Idaho.
