Water Rights and GIS Analyst
Ron has worked in the field of water resources since 1978. During the period from 1988 through 2003, he served as a Senior Water Right Agent for the Idaho Department of Water Resources.
He had continuous employment with the State of Idaho from January 1973 to his retirement in October 2005.
Upon his retirement, he became self-employed as “Ronald D. Howerton Consulting” in March of 2006 primarily to give water right and GIS support for various state agencies through the Office of the Attorney General.
Ron is a retired Army Master Sergeant and Veteran, serving a tour in Vietnam.
